FOOD?! Omg! Yes! It’s the BLOG YOU’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!
Las Vegas food is the BEST food. You might be wondering why that is, well it’s because there’s so many different places to eat on the strip. And honestly, I wish I could live on the strip JUST FOR THE FOOD. If you took away the gambling, drinking, shopping but left the food, well, I’d still be happy!
Without further ado I bring you the food we enjoyed this week and the places you HAVE GOT TO TRY when visiting Vegas.
I know this is supposed to be about Vegas, but I do have to mention the restaurant inside of the Holiday Inn that we stayed at in St George, Utah.
I didn’t expect there to be a burger patty that was lightly cut up and tossed on top when we wanted to add the beef. (It was not seasoned.) The salsa it came with tasted like generic Pace salsa from the store. (I didn’t expect them to be mind-blowing given this is a burger restaurant.) I give the nachos a 5/10.
This is the classic cheeseburger and french fries. The burger was made EXCEPTIONALLY WELL. And the fries, well it’s hard for me to hate french fries so they were pretty good. I give the burger and fries a 10/10.
As you can tell, the burger and fries are the reason why I’m even mentioning this. <3 If you are EVER near a Burger Theory (this link is for the one in Phoenix) you HAVE to stop in and give them a try.
EARL OF SANDWICH
If you love sandwiches and you are in Vegas or near any of the other locations. (There are 0 in Colorado. We’ve checked.) Then you HAVE to stop and get a sandwich here. Not only is the bread amazing, but the meats and cheeses are so fresh and delicious.
Seriously, this is the best club sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. (Yes, only half is pictured because the other half had a bite taken out of it.) It’s toasted and made so perfectly. We tried it on our last trip to Vegas (08/15) and have dreamed about it ever since. (Totally drooling over it right now!) They also make some amazing kettle cooked chips! I give both the sandwich and the chips a 15/10. (Yes, that good.)
I didn’t get a picture of my pizza, but that’s okay. I don’t need a picture to describe it to you. If you are looking for some real New York style pizza, then Sirrico’s Pizza in the New York, New York Hotel & Casino is the place to go. The slices are big and greasy, much like you would expect from a pizzeria in NY, NY. You can order by the slice or pie and it’s pretty reasonable. The first time we tried it was also on our last trip to Vegas (08/15). (I guess the first day was just a trip down memory lane. It was also the day we went into the Excalibur and up to look at the chapel. :)) I give their pizza a 10/10. (The customer service was less than desired though.)
KRISPY KREME DONUTS
Again, I didn’t take pictures of the donuts though I did snap this cute picture of my coffee cup.
Anyways, if you’ve been living under a rock you probably have no idea what Krispy Kreme is and that’s where this post comes in. Krispy Kreme donuts are the BEST DONUTS I’VE EVER ATE. HANDS DOWN. I give them a 12.5/10.
IN N OUT FREAKIN’ BURGER
I know “Freakin'” isn’t in the name but it’s got to be. I tried it once when I was little. (My brother was in the Marine Corps and stationed at Camp Pendleton.) I remembered it being good and when I found out there was an In N’ Out Burger near the strip, I told Nathan we had to go there since we were driving. And THEN, I found out THEY HAVE ONE ON THE STRIP and I knew we had to go there. I had honestly almost forgot about it until we were walking that direction and I noticed the sign. I freaked out. Seriously, ask Nathan. So we made our way and had to wait a while. The line was LONG. But the wait was WORTH IT. BEST FREAKING HAMBURGER FAST FOOD PLACE EVER. I give the burger and fries I had a WHOPPING 150/10
(**Please note the extra tomatoes and onions. Those were Nathan’s. I love veggies!)
MONTE CARLO BUFFET
I did not take a picture of this, because it would have been too much. I must say this was a better buffet then the Excalibur had (YUCK!!!) and it’s even better than the Golden Corral. Because of MyVEGAS slots, I was able to redeem for a BOGO free reward. So we only had to pay for one. Would I eat here again? Possibly. The food was pretty good. (The pasta sauce was less than desired and the bread pudding was not that great.) I give it a 7/10. (Golden Corral is a 5/10 and the Excalibur’s buffet is a -100/10.)
We were trying to stick close to the hotel at this point so we didn’t really venture out too far.
EARL OF SANDWICH
I’m telling you guys, it’s THAT good. This time I switched it up and ordered something different this time. Just to try a different sandwich. Let me introduce you to; THE ITALIAN.
The Italian was so good and I was very glad I ordered something different to try. I even got potato wedges instead of chips (Chips came free anyways so it was a win-win-win) I give this sandwich and the potato wedges a 10/10.
THE HARD ROCK CAFE
You have not lived until you’ve eaten at a Hard Rock Cafe. It’s expensive but SO WORTH IT. This club sandwich has thinly sliced grilled chicken so it’s a little different from a normal club sandwich. And it was amazing!! The fries with the Parmesan cheese were PERFECT! I give this a 10/10.
So, there you have it! All the amazing and delicious food we ate while we traveled. Seriously, if you are going to Vegas at least check out Earl of Sandwich and In N’ Out Burger. But a forewarning; nothing will ever compare to these two places and you’ll be plagued with craving them until you can get to another one.
Have you tried any of these places? If not, does any of them sound like something you’d like to try? Let me know in the comments! <3
