Five Things Mom REALLY Wants For Mother’s Day

As a mother of two crazy kiddos (ages 8 and 3) I know how long the days can feel, but also how rewarding they are. I love my kids to the moon and back. I would give any part of my body away to make sure they were both okay. That being said, there are a few things I wish for this Mother’s Day and I’m sure a lot of mom’s can agree with me on this.

1. Peace & Quiet

I don’t know about you, but sometimes it seems like my kids just start getting louder and louder as the day drags on.

2. A Clean House

Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing, is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing.

I don’t want to have to spend the day picking up the same toys I picked up yesterday. Please children, for one day, put your toys back where you pulled them out from.

3. A Glass of Wine… Or three

Wine is bottled poetry.

A glass of wine (Barefoot White Zinfandel, to be specific) can be so relaxing. Even if that’s all I get for mother’s day, I’ll be a happy camper.

4. Bath Time

I just want to fill the tub to the top with water and bubbles and lay there for two hours straight. DO NOT BOTHER ME. Let me get pruny. My bathtub is a sanctuary to me, let me enjoy it.

5. Snuggles

I want to spend the whole day snuggling with my two little reasons why I’m even celebrating the day.

My kids are my entire life. Being a mother is the best, most fulfilling job I have ever had. Having a day dedicated to me is great, but to me it’s mother’s day every day because I get to celebrate all the wonderful little things that my kids do. (Even if that means they are screaming and throwing their toys.)
